1. What are the booking and payment policies at Hostel Soča Rocks?
A valid credit or debit card is required to guarantee your reservation. If you book without a credit card, a deposit equivalent to the first night’s stay is required. Groups of 4 or more are only accepted if they participate in sports activities such as rafting, canyoning, zipline, or kayaking.
Group policy:
2 nights require 2 activities
Up to 4 nights require 3 activities
4 or more nights require 4 activities
2. What are the check-in times?
Check-in is available from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM. If you arrive earlier, you may leave your luggage in the hostel’s common area until your room is ready.
3. What are the check-out times?
Check-out is from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Late check-outs are not allowed, but you can leave your luggage in the common area after check-out.
4. Are pets allowed at Hostel Soča Rocks?
Unfortunately, pets are not allowed in the hostel. Since guests share rooms and bathrooms, the presence of animals could be an issue for guests with allergies. This ensures hygiene and comfort for all guests.
5. Are the bathrooms shared?
Yes. Each floor has two bathrooms with showers and toilets, plus an extra toilet. The ground floor has two bathrooms with two showers and two toilets.
6. Can I rent a towel?
Yes, towel rental is available for 2,00€.
7. What if I arrive late? Is staff available for check-in?
The hostel staff is available 24/7. If you plan to arrive after 11:00 PM, please notify us in advance via email: [email protected] or phone: +386 41 317 777.
8. Is parking available?
Yes, free parking is available right next to the hostel.
9. Is Wi-Fi available at the hostel?
Yes, high-speed Wi-Fi is available throughout the hostel.
10. Can I store my bike at the hostel?
We do not have a dedicated bike storage area. We recommend bringing a lock and securing your bike outside the hostel.
11. Is the tourist tax included in the price?
No. Tourist tax rates are:
2,00€ per person/night for adults
1,00€ per person/night for guests under 18
Children under 7 are exempt
12. Is bedding included in the price?
Yes, bedding is included. Extra blankets are available at the reception.
13. Do you offer laundry services?
Guests can hand-wash clothes and hang them to dry at the hostel. Upon request, we can contact a local laundry service for pickup and delivery.
14. Are lockers available in the rooms?
Yes, lockers are available in shared rooms. Guests are advised to bring their own lock.
15. Can I store food at the hostel?
Yes, the shared kitchen provides a refrigerator and storage cabinets. Guests must label their food, and instructions will be provided at check-in.
16. How far is the hostel from Bovec center?
The hostel is a short walk (2–3 minutes) from Bovec center and the bus station.
17. Do you organize activities?
Yes, we offer reservations for rafting, canyoning, zipline, and kayaking. Activities can be booked in advance or through the reception. Our staff will pick up and return guests to the hostel.
18. Do you accept cash and card payments?
Yes, both cash and credit cards are accepted.
19. What is the hostel’s curfew and quiet hours?
Common areas are open until 10:00 PM. After this time, guests are asked to respect the peace of other guests and neighbors. Late gatherings in rooms or on the terrace after 10:00 PM are not allowed.
