Take the highway A4/E55/E70, direction for UDINE/TARVISIO/AUSTRIA. After passing Udine go towards Tolmezo/Tricesimo/Tarvisio. Then look for a sign for the Uccea mountain pass and go over the pass. Once you reach the pass turn right and continue to Bovec. (174km, 2h 20 min)
TRAIN 🚆 + BUS 🚌
Take the train from Airport to Treviso Centrale (5 min and it goes every 20 minutes). Then take the bus from Treviso Centrale to Gorizia (it takes about 2 hours and trains are leaving almost every hour throughout the whole day, 13,50 EUR).
Once you are in Gorizia (Italy), you have to cross a border to Nova Gorica (Slovenia) and go on the main bus station on Slovenian side (to cross a border it’s 5 min bus ride or 20 minutes walk).

Take the highway towards Udine. After passing by Udine, go towards Tolmezo/Tricesimo and look for a sign for the Uccea mountain pass. Go over the pass and go right, in the direction for Bovec (178 km, 2h 30 min).
TRAIN 🚆 + BUS 🚌
First you have to take the bus from airport to Venice Mestre (it takes 19 min and goes every 30 min). Then you take the train from Venice Mestre to Gorizia (it takes about 3h 30 min).
Once you are in Gorizia (Italy), you have to cross the border to Nova Gorica (Slovenia) and go on the main bus station on Slovenian side (to cross the border it’s 5 min bus ride or 20 minutes walk).

RONCHI DEI LEGIONARI AIRPORT ✈️

From the airport Ronchi del Legionari you have to go towards Cividale del Friuli and then you take direction for Kobarid, Slovenia. After passing the border with Slovenia, you are going to be in Kobarid, then turn left for Bovec (it takes about 1h 30min).
TRAIN 🚆 + BUS 🚌
From Ronchi del Legionari take the train to Goriza (bus leaves every half an hour and takes about 15-20min, costs 1€-3€.)
Once you are in Gorizia (Italy), you have to cross the border to come to Nova Gorica (Slovenia) and go on the main bus station on Slovenian side (to cross the border it’s 5 min bus ride or 20 minutes walk).
